We agree on the big things in life like our faith, loving and serving others well through the gifts we've been given, and that there is always time for a stop at Chick-fil-A.
On paper, we're a classic example of opposites attract. She's an extrovert, he's an introvert; she's creative, he's philosophical; she would rather be surrounded by a big group of friends at a happy hour during Minnesota's coveted summer patio season whereas he'd rather be cozied up at home reading Tolkien.
We've learned that this is the perfect combination for our couples. Katzie's joyful personality matched with Ben's calming presence help you feel excited and comfortable in front of the lens.

We always had a strong devotion to the Sacred Heart. When our church had that date available, we felt the Holy Spirit affirm that decision.
How we Chose Our wedding Date
We celebrated for two weeks in Italy. It was the perfect mix of vacation and pilgrimage. The sunset dinner in Varenna overlooking Lake Como will probably be the most romantic date we ever have.

Katzie thought she was planning a group happy hour when her friends made a detour to Rice Park. Under the winter sparkle of string lights Ben was waiting with a dozen roses in hand. He got down on one knee and she said yes!
How He Proposed

When Ben discerned out of seminary after college, he turned to his friends for next steps. Katzie helped Ben find a place to live (with her brother) and a job (with her) so we naturally started spending a LOT more time together. After a few friend dates, he officially asked Katzie out in July and the rest is history.
How we started dating

We both studied abroad in Rome, Italy our junior year of college. The friendship we had while pursuing Christ at the heart of the church set a strong foundation of friendship for us.
