It’s never easy to say goodbye to your first home. Especially when those walls hold memories from being a newlywed and welcoming a baby into your arms. It’s the place where you unwrapped your wedding registry gifts and rocked your little girl to sleep. The floorboards tell a story engrained in each step. However, for many there comes a time to pass the torch to a new family and move into a forever home.
This local Minneapolis blogger did just that. They built a new home and filled the shelves and counters with beautiful touches completely personalized to her. It’s gorgeous and cozy. Can we talk about house goals?!
I got to meet Meg last year when I photographed a Galentine’s day with a group of bloggers, then setup this fun collaboration a few months later to capture her in her element at home and to help her have branded photos for her home tour. I love getting to see behind the scenes of where she sits on the couch to write her blog posts, see her pouring a glass of wine in the kitchen (which is where you’ll likely find her during any get together), and the subtle details spread throughout each room.
These lifestyle and branding style of photos have been a creative outlet for me lately, made all the more fun by capturing this gem. It has me itching to go watch some HGTV and start revisiting my own “dream home” board on Pinterest – haha. How about you?
