I got to spend the day photographing instagram travel influencer Esther Susag flaunting trendy summer dresses in our hometown Minneapolis.

Where do I begin with this girl?! Taking pictures of her has a soft spot in my heart because she was one of my very first models EVER when I started dabbling with DSLRs. Esther and I go wayyyyy back to high school days when we were conference roommates and eventually found ourselves at the same college.

If you ever get the pleasure to meet her you will be blown away by how this gem LIGHTS UP THE ROOM! She radiates more joy and brings more energy  than you’ve likely ever encountered – and every inch of it is authentic.

I’ve loved watching her grow into her own through the years. She caught the travel bug while doing Semester at Sea in college that brought her all over Asia, South Africa, and London. She loved exploring the world so much that she decided to skip the traditional 9 to 5 route and work in Guam for a year and when her time there was up she crossed the ocean again to work in Germany. Now, she runs a beautiful travel Instagram account @esthersusag that showcases her own talent and eye for photography plus she shares fabulous tips to help others explore this crazy beautiful world around us.

Getting her in front of my camera when she is home in Minnesota is the best gift a “photographer friend” could ask for. We take time to explore the hidden treasures of our own city –  finding places that often go unnoticed from the routines we build. Being a classy influencer, fashion brands started reaching out to have her model their clothes and we had a blast finding new nooks and crannies of Minneapolis for her to flaunt these super cute new clothes during our shoot.

Working with bloggers and influencers for portrait sessions has been my favorite creative outlet of the year. When you have a personal connection with one of them, it makes it all the more fun.

Can’t wait to see which country Esther lands in next. One thing is for sure, wherever she goes, she goes in style.
