Meet two of the biggest sweethearts with a faith on fire for Christ. We had so much fun with Sophie and Ned that OUR cheeks started to hurt from smiling so much right back at them! Their joy together is seriously contagious! Even as I was editing these gorgeous images for their gallery, I found myself smiling from ear-to-ear all over again!

Engagement sessions are one of our absolute favorite parts of the wedding experience with the brides and grooms we serve. It is the perfect chance to step away from the to-do list of wedding planning. The check boxes seem to multiply and it can certainly become overwhelming. Cue the engagement session. It’s a break and pause to re-focus on why you’re getting married in the first place. This sacred time is an opportunity to CELEBRATE this exciting milestone and soak up saying fiance as much as possible. Couples get to practice for the big day all while being their joyful, playful selves that fill an hour with laughter, cuddling, and lots of loving on one another!

This is an especially treasured time if the couple is planning their wedding long distance. With Ned out of state for school, these high school sweethearts truly let their love show with every moment they have together. We happened to catch them during the Thanksgiving holiday break, a time when that gratitude for one another was at an all time high.

This session was also special to us for another reason. Sophie was a bridesmaid in a wedding we photographed almost three years ago! We are BEYOND excited that it is her turn to be a bride! We feel so lucky to be invited into the many seasons of life that our couples experience from miss to mrs.
