These high school sweethearts officially tied the knot this weekend!! Their love story was 10 years in the making and has stood the test of time, long distance, and even a pandemic. We loved getting to know more about them during their engagement session last winter and celebrating their wedding day this fall.
Sammy and Tony have a lot in common, like being the youngest of four kids in their family with two boys and two girls on each side. They couldn’t imagine a wedding day without those siblings by their side so they asked all of their brothers and sisters to be the bridesmaids and groomsmen of their bridal party. But it didn’t stop there. They included the in-law’s in the fun too and had an entourage of adorable nieces and nephews for their flower girls and ring bearers!
If that didn’t clue you in that family was really important to them, you’d know for sure by the surprise Sammy made to bring the party bus on a special stop to visit her 90 year old grandma in a senior living facility. Grandma ooh’d and ahh’d over Sammy’s lace wedding dress and was touched that Sammy made time out of the day to spend it with her.
Their catholic wedding mass was full of beauty, joy, and music that made your jaw drop – especially when the cantor sang Ave Maria during the flower offering to Mary. Wow!! Everyone cheered for them as they were announced husband and wife and then headed off to Bruentrup Heritage Farm to cozy up in the barn for their rustic wedding reception. The candlelight on the tables reflected off the wood walls and gave the perfect warm ambiance. Famous Dave’s catered in a barbecue buffet and guests eagerly awaited the pie dessert table. As the live band started playing, it was our cue to head out at the end of this perfect wedding day.
We’re so honored that we got to capture this day for you and can’t wait to see the beautiful ways the Lord works through your marriage in the lifetime of love ahead! Congratulations, Joyers!
