It was such a joy to celebrate K+M’s wedding day together with them over labor day weekend. We loved watching their joy unfold during the day that started with a beautiful and intimate first look. K’s smile was beaming as she was walked up to M. His face instantly lit up the moment her hand tapped him on the shoulder. They’ve been dating long distance between Texas and Minnesota, so you can imagine how long awaited this moment was to see one another in the minutes before officially becoming husband and wife.
Their wedding took place in the extraordinary form at the Church of St. Agnes in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Family and friends filled the church socially distanced six feet apart as K’s dad escorted her down the aisle. After a sweet moment to stop and hug her mom and grandma at the front, she turned back to hug her dad who squeezed her back and placed her hand in M’s. They bowed and processed up the stairs to exchange their vows. Afterwards, they brought a bouquet to Mary on the side altar and knelt for a moment of prayer in thanksgiving.
As they returned to the kneelers that are placed in the center of the sanctuary. Imagine how amazing it is for a couple to be seated THAT close to the altar watching the liturgy of the eucharist unfold! When the nuptial mass was over, they were greeted by happy cheers of their wedding guests lining the front stairs and we were able to snap a group picture of everyone who was there. That will be such a special memory for this couple to have years down the road when they remember back to their wedding day!
We explored scenic spots across St. Paul before we headed back to Town and Country Club for their wedding reception. Katzie loves seeing the memory table filled with couple portraits of the parents, grandparents, and loved ones who have passed on the legacy of love to the wedding couple. It makes an impact on us as photographers imaging the pictures we’ve taken throughout the day hanging beside these in the hallway of their future home!
After sentimental speeches that highlighted how accomplished and dedicated to prayer these two are individually, we got to take them up on the golf course to a sunset view with the Minneapolis skyline in the background.
Everything turned out so beautifully for these two and we know there are far more beautiful things awaiting them in the lifetime of marriage ahead. Congratulations, you two!
