I fell in love with this couple the moment I heard their proposal story. They were visiting the Tall Ships festival in Duluth, Minnesota when Taylor turned to two ladies passing by and asked if they would take picture of him and Aly in front of the ships. Well.. as he handed off the phone and moved back by Aly’s side, he bent down on his knee and asked for her hand in marriage. Spoiler alert – she said YES!! 

I gotta give Taylor props for being so smooth and for capturing that moment forever on camera! What a priceless keepsake 🙂 As a photographer, I can only imagine how happy (and nervous!!) those two ladies must have been to simply be walking nearby and then to all of a sudden be a part of the magic. 

Our fall engagement session at Afton State Park was absolutely gorgeous with the leaves beginning to reach their golden glow. However, the leaves have NOTHING on Aly’s glow when she is smiling at Taylor. Every moment together she was just BEAMING! 

Fall is my favorite season of the year because I believe it not only brings out the best colors in the world, but it finally cools down so we can cuddle close to our sweethearts and that closeness brings out the best in one another. Both Aly and Taylor are proof of that in every sweet nuzzle and their gentle patience with their dog, Tucker, who eagerly whimpered on the side for some puppy love. 

I can’t wait to photograph their wedding next summer and to spend a whole day with their contagious smiles. Congratulations, Aly & Taylor!
